Air, ground and sea prove to be the inspiration for Breitling's new timepieces. Buro 24/7 Middle East has the details...

Breitling has unveiled three new timepieces at Baselworld 2016. Inspired by the ocean as well as the automobile and aviation worlds, the Superocean Heritage Chronoworks, the Bentley GMT B04 S and the Avenger Hurricane all focus on thing: pure performance.

The 100-piece limited edition Superocean Heritage Chronoworks diving watch is the product of Breitling's Chronoworks division, tasked to take something great and make it even better. The first watch to incorporate five major mechanical breakthroughs, the Superocean Heritage Chronoworks  features a transparent caseback for full appreciation of those said innovations.

Meanwhile, the Bentley GMT B04 S is now interpreted with a carbon body to complement its titanium sibling. With a process that includes melding several hundreds of layers of carbon fibres, the dual-time-zone chronograph achieves a rigidity that is unparalleled. Limited to only 250 pieces, the red hands shows the time back at home while its black counterpart shows the local time.

Finally, the all-new Avenger Hurricane, inspired by both aviation and military, stands out with its 50mm case. More importantly, that case is made of a Breitlight, the brand's patented material which is 3.3 times lighter than titanium and 5.8 times lighter than steel but with all the sturdiness and resistant properties of other materials.
