A decade after the launch of its first iconic All Black collection, Hublot is pioneering yet another dark new horological revolution.

Hublot's All Black concept has been one of the most coveted watch lines ever, since its inception. Now at Baselworld 2016, Hublot is presenting both a continuation of the collection as well as a shift in ideology.

"By its nature, black absorbs all visible radiation and does not reflect any light," explains Jean-Claude Biver, Chairman of Hublot. "In this original interpretation of our All Black concept, Hublot is once again playing with received ideas. The Big Bang Unico Sapphire All Black is both transparent and completely robed in black. What is more, it does not absorb light. In fact, it lets light pass through. It embodies the dichotomy of the visible and invisible, the seen and the unseen".

The visible invisibility is made possible through the use of sapphire. While tough to manipulate, Hublot's expertise with similar hard materials including Magic Gold allows the designers and craftsmen to work with sapphire blocks, which were then turned into masterful timepieces. Combined with the brand's patented UNICO movement, the result is a stunning timepiece that embodies all of the spirit of haute horology.

The Big Bang Unico Sapphire All Black is limited to 500 pieces. For more information, visit
