A look at OMEGA's Rio Olympics limited edition watches
First, second, third
The 2016 Olympic Games' official timekeeper OMEGA has presented three new special timepieces to commemorate this year's event. Each of the exclusive pieces have taken elements of the host city's vibrant personality as well as the spirit of the games and incorporated them into the designs.
The Seamaster Diver 300M Rio 2016 Limited Edition takes inspiration from Rio's famed beaches and coastlines with the black dial featuring a wave pattern. Nevertheless, the standout feature on the timepiece is undoubtedly the lacquered numerals on the bezel that are coloured in the same tones as the Olympic rings – red, green, yellow and blue.
Meanwhile, the Seamaster Bullhead Rio 2016 Limited Edition is immediately identifiable by its blue leather strap, which features detailed stitching in the Olympic colours. The chronograph functions reflect the precision of speed and time that is typically associated with the Games.
Then, the Seamaster Diver 300M Rio 2016 Limited Edition was inspired by the original OMEGA Speedmaster Mark II. In this limited edition version, the rings of the sub-dials are decked in gold, silver and bronze, reflecting the three winner's medals that are presented to the top athletes. This stunning Rio 2016 edition is limited to only 2016 pieces.
