In focus: Kuwaiti design talent Dana Al-Nafisi
An accessory brand based on craftsmanship, elegance and simplicity
Ever since the designer completed several courses at Central Saint Martins in London, which aided her in developing her exquisite line, she decided to dive into the business of accessories.
For Dana Al-Nafisi working on jewellery is not just working on mere objects, it's a way of expressing her inner feelings to the world. Her pieces are one-of-a-kind, chic, and should be coveted by every girl.
The designer uses gold, silver, precious stones, and diamonds; promising to give the best quality and character to each piece. Al-Nafisi's passion for jewellery was evident from a young age. During her adolescence, she started designing simple daily pieces for both herself and others, and got wonderful feedback from family, friends, and even from people she didn't know.
"In 2007, I took an immediate decision and gave myself a chance during one of my friend's solo expositions by displaying my master pieces and the result turned out very good!" Al-Nafisi said.
In 2011, Dana set her sights internationally, participating in Paris' Eclat de Mode, and London's International Jewellery Show followed the next year. The vast exposure led to an invitation to show her pieces at the Golden Globes suites in Los Angeles, USA in 2013.
Her business is booming around the globe, but now she sets her eyes on her next venture, to conquer the Gulf, one city at a time...
