Buro 24/7 Exclusive: Go behind-the-scenes with Miranda Kerr and Swarovski
The Valentine's Silhouettes Campaign
This week, Buro 24/7 Middle East was able to get a special backstage peek at the new Swarovski campaign starring Miranda Kerr, as she dons the jewellery houses new Valentine’s Day pieces.
"The heart is a universal symbol of love and friendship. This Valentine's Day is no exception, but we wanted to approach this traditional motif from a more modern perspective," Swarovski's creative director, Nathalie Colin explained.
Inspired by the concept of a ribbon draped in the shape of a heart, the appropriately called 'Cupidon' line is the very essence of purity. Available in three platings – rose gold, yellow gold and rhodium – the theme is also loved by Miranda Kerr, muse of the Spring/Summer 2015 campaign, "I love the 3D aspect of the Cupidon ring which creates an infinity symbol; it's a piece that's both delicate and feminine, and really easy to match with other accessories."
The collection will also feature the 'Circle Heart', with its two openwork hearts, one being crystal-embellished, or 'Cadmia' pendant, with its pure heart design. For those who love more sparkle, they can sport the versatile 'Cupid' heart – which is covered in clear pavé crystals – and many more.
New this season, for the first time Swarovski has even produced a watch designed especially for the occasion, reinterpreting the 'Lovely Crystals' design with a mother-of-pearl dial and sixteen floating colored zirconia elements that create a sparkling and playful effect.
In addition to women's jewellery and accessories, Swarovski will also offer a range of figurines that bring a refreshing charm and a unique SS15 men's collection, featuring rose gold bracelets and stylish cuff links.
