Lydia Courteille's new collection of jewellery
Every year, Courteille creates a new seasonal collection based on her classic designs but using unique materials and stones. For this collection the stunning pieces created with phosphosiderite – a stone that is mined in Chile and shares a similar texture to jade, with yellow veins running through its purple colouring.
To bring out the splashes of yellow, Courteille incorporated yellow topazes and sapphires, contrasting their glistening texture with the matt phosphosiderite.
Keeping with the animal theme of her previous collections – 'Animal Farm', which was inspired by George Orwell's book of the same name, and marine life from her 'Deep Sea' collection – the tropical flower-shaped jewels also feature precious little insects nestling on the petals.
The collection consists of approximately 15 one-of-a-kind pieces and is available from Lydia Courteille's boutique on Rue Saint Honoré, Paris.
