First look: Chanel debut Premiere Boy watch
Inspired by Gabrielle Coco Chanel
In a nod to Gabrielle Coco Chanel's love of borrowing men's pieces and making them her own, luxury French fashion house – Chanel – debut a new timepiece called the Premiere Boy watch.
The chic new watch (like the new Chanel handbag) was named after Arthur 'Boy' Capel – Chanel's great love until his sad death following a car crash in 1919. It features an eye-catching an octagonal case, much like the house's Première watch, which was originally introduced in 1987.
The Premiere Boy watch comes in two different sizes: Large, or 34.6 mm by 26.7 mm, and extra-large, or 37 mm by 28.6 mm. There are six models to select from, including a striking 18-carat beige gold edition, which can be set with or without diamonds, and an opulent 18-carat white gold version set with diamonds. The coveted new timepiece comes with a black alligator leather strap (which features a diamond-set buckle for the bejewelled versions.) Take a closer look via the gallery below.
The Premiere Boy watch will go on sale from September and is priced between $12,500 and $27,000
