Fashion's finest have taken the lead from Disney's 'Finding Nemo' amongst (mostly) other seaside related starting points for Spring/Summer 15 – a definite trend has emerged

Following on from sports-led trends spotted on the runways to more ethnic inspiration points, Buro 24/7 highlights another look to lust after – and it's going deep.

It's safe to say that fashion designers, with their super-tight schedules and fancy shows, also don't have much time for sailing around the ocean and spend days on the beach. And so it seems apt that in many Spring/Summer 15 collections we can see creations clearly born from longing for the sea, a beautiful red sunset from a pier on a childhood holiday – that kind of thing. It was certainly obvious at Olympia Le Tan, anyway. 

Fish, jellyfish, stingrays and even whales and images of lapping waves were seen on the runways of the likes of Miu Miu, Acne, Kenzo and of course, Le Tan.

And in a splash we have a trend; from super-graceful fish by Miuccia Prada (above) played out like beautiful illustrations from a vintage storybook, to futuristic pixelated jellyfish from Julien David. Dive in...
