Paris Fashion Week: Valentino Spring/Summer '17
A punk idea of humanism
Inside the halls of the Hotel Salomon de Rothschild, where the wooden floors and the chandeliers provided a frame, Valentino unveiled a collection that was a "graceful poetry of colour".
Pierpaolo Piccioli, who walked out to a standing ovation from Anna Wintour and Valentino himself, at the end of his first solo show as the Creative Director of Valentino, is the talk of Paris Fashion Week. His intricately structured, beautifully woven, impeccably embellished collection told the story of a man who is every inch as forward thinking as the vision he now intends to carve for the brand.
