Paris Fashion Week: Roland Mouret Spring/Summer '17
En route to the resort
Inside the chic interiors of the Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie, a block back from the Champs Élysées, Roland Mouret presented a dimensional direction, which headed straight for a hotel-esque lobby — one of those lobbies that looks out longingly onto lemon tree lined manicured lawns.
Stretch fabrics in cool citrus tones, shimmering metallics the colour of the sun and monochrome matte macrame were all woven into the eponymous line. Accentuated shoulders, necklines and functionally detailed backs were complete with long black chokers, which were a step in a new direction, away from the current street styled trend.
