Olivier Lapidus went back to basics for his debut collection for Lanvin. Prior to today's show, Lapidus spoke about the fundamentals of fashion which he speaks in fluid lines, simple silk dresses, asymmetrical hemlines and jumpsuits, which all culminated in a dipped back cinched at the waist.

The only disruption was the Lanvin print stamped in unison complete in a colour palette of ruby red and emerald green. Far removed from the Lanvin of lavish proportions, perhaps this seemingly simple new direction will prove to be a cut above the rest.
