Dolce & Gabbana was not only a standout show on the Milan Fashion Week schedule but also a show that spoke to Millennials in the Middle East. Here's why...

Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce had a wide-smiled Anna Wintour clapping as 117 influencers, friends of the brand and clients walked the leopard print Dolce & Gabbana runway this season. Set to the sound of singer Austin Mahone, who serenaded the uber cool crowd – think the Middle East's Lana El Sahely, Anais Gallagher, Sofia Richie, Ella Richards and Dylan Lee – the show, and it was a show, set forth a new direction for the brand.

Looking to the Renaissance era for inspiration, the designers presented a collection, which featured dogs and cats aplenty – both are a symbol of loyalty, love and new beginnings. Other Instagram-worthy moments included life-sized bears wrapped around models, who wore crowns atop their heads and the brand's signature red flowers in their hair. Headbands emblazoned with #dgmilano also featured too.
