First look: Dion Lee's Cruise '18 show, plus menswear collection debut
Sydney Opera House
The grounds of one of Australia's most iconic locations, the Sydney Opera House, played host to an achingly cool Cruise '18 show by Dion Lee. Marking the start of Australian Fashion Week, the eponymous label opened the show with signature silhouettes — think sporty-meets-sleek cuts, sharp tailoring and layered hemlines — followed by the debut of the designer's menswear collection.
The Australian brand's Cruise '18 show comes shortly after Dion Lee announced a new partnership with the Syndey Opera House, in which the brand will now design the employees' uniforms. This won't be the first time a fashion designer has created uniforms for their home country. Stella McCartney previously created her sportswear designs for the British Olympic team during the 2016 Olympics, followed by Ralph Lauren's US team kits for the Ryder Cup last year.
