Day two of Fashion Forward Dubai saw a combination of new ideas and commercially viable cuts comes to the fore. Here's looking at Emperor, Kristina Fidelskaya and Ghudfah...



Co-Founders of the Dubai-based label Emperor, Farhan, Babak and Haman Golkar, showcased a strong menswear collection in collaboration with Reebok Classics during Fashion Forward Dubai. The collection was an explosion of dark hues, achingly cool contrasts between fabrics – think mesh, cotton and matte satin – bomber jackets as well as crop tops injected with the brand's signature name.

Kristina Fidelskaya

Dubai-based designer Kristina Fidelskaya showcased an 80-strong her Fall/Winter '17 collection, Liberta, which was injected with the eponymous label's vision for feminism and freedom. Blending soft silhouettes with smooth fabrics – think crepe, jacquard, velvet and delicate silk – the collection embraces a repetitive colour scheme of autumnal hues.

Abaya brand Ghudfah, by Sarah Albaz, saw a collection of covers that came complete with intricate detailing, a monochrome colour palette and designs inspired by architectural structures, think skyscrapers, orchids' curves and clouds.
