Yahoo to host Costume Institute Met Gala After-Party
Basking in the fashion spotlight
On May 4, some of the world's biggest celebrities – or at least the ones who aren't attending the Chanel Cruise show in Seoul – will descend on New York's Costume Institute's Met Gala for the biggest red carpet event of the year. Its chief sponsor tech giant Yahoo, will be basking in the fashion spotlight after it has revealed its plans to host a star-studded after-party.
Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer (who is also one of the Met Gala's chairs), Yahoo Style editor Joe Zee, Sarah Jessica Parker and Katy Perry will takeover the Top of the Standard a.k.a. The Boom Boom Room, the venue that has hosted many Met Gala after-parties, including the one that saw the famous Jay Z vs Solange Knowles elevator incident. Zee said that Yahoo aims to "celebrate everyone's hard work by continuing the fun night with a toast."
