It's confirmed that Dubai will play host to the World Retail Congress, which marks the first time the world's most exclusive retail event will be held outside of Europe. The congress hosts some of the world's most popular, successful and iconic brands giving their founders and experts a chance to meet, greet and discuss opportunities, offer advice and share success stories with an international audience.

Ian McGarrigle, Chairman of the World Retail Congress discussed this year's move to Dubai, saying: "We are delighted to be hosting the 10th edition of the World Retail Congress in Dubai, which has firmly established itself as one of the world's leading retail destinations, and it's the perfect location for the Congress' first time outside Europe."

Keynote speakers at this year's event include Tommy Hilfiger, Jo Malone and Soloman Lew, Chairman of Premier Investments. The three will also be honoured for their contribution to the fashion industry. "It's an honour to be recognised by the World Retail Congress and be inducted into its Hall of Fame," said Hilfiger. "We've just wrapped up our celebrations for the 30th anniversary of the Tommy Hilfiger brand, and it has been amazing to look back on the journey we've had. It's incredible to reflect on how we've grown into a truly global lifestyle brand, with over one-thousand-five-hundred Tommy Hilfiger stores and twenty thousand points of distribution worldwide. Though I always say the best is yet to come — I can't wait to see what the future will hold."

Along with the keynote speakers there will also be a dedicated schedule of talks and events. "This year's programme and inspirational speakers will cover some of the most important topics and trends affecting the retail industry, and I am confident that the Congress will provide an excellent platform for local, regional and international retailers to shine the spotlight on innovation across this dynamic sector," continued McGarrigle. "The Congress also provides an opportunity for the industry to work together to discuss ways to pioneer retail development both within the Middle East and around the world."

World Retail Congress will be held at Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai on April 12-14, 2016.
