Is WikiLeaks launching a fashion line?

Weirdly, yes

In a really very random move for the infamous WikiLeaks co-founder Julian Assange, the brand that began online looks set to develop into a clothes line

It's fair to say that no-one saw this coming, which is kind of how whistle-blowing organisation WikiLeaks like to work, when you think about it.

As yes, you heard right – WikiLeaks is stepping into the high-end fashion arena, with Julian Assange planning to launch a line of branded merchandise in India, with the help of a local company called Franchisee India.

An Icelandic representative of WikiLeaks has spoken to The Times Of India saying, "India is one of the countries where awareness about WikiLeaks is the highest and Julian is excited about the proposition. High-end fashion apparel, accessories, household goods, paper goods, that kind of stuff".

Indeed, WikiLeaks already sells an array of branded t-shirts online, but this move will see the goods being sold in physical stores too.
