This is where Virginie Viard’s Chanel Métiers d’Art collection show will be held next
Mark your calendars
Today marks one year since Karl Lagerfeld's tragic passing and his legacy continues to shine through when it comes to collections presented by his successor, Virginie Viard. Working under Lagerfeld's wing for decades, Viard has aced in exalting the maison's heritage, Gabrielle Chanel's founded codes and Lagerfeld's emblematic influence with her own artistic vision.
Having been at the helm as Creative Director for a year now, Viard has embedded herself as a vital piece in the Chanel machine — all whilst spearheading the brand to a new direction.
Following Paris Fashion Week's Fall/Winter '20 and Cruise shows, Viard is taking the fash pack to London this summer to showcase the Métiers d’Art 2019-20 collection. The show will be held on June 4 at Old Billingsgate, a 19th century Victorian building located in the heart of the city.
After presenting the coveted range in Paris last December (which was the very first Métiers d'art show for Viard), the upcoming showcase in the UK capital is part of the maison's action plan to engage with its local clients.
