Victoria Beckham increases her fashion following, as the label plans to open a standalone store this autumn

The designer has announced that she is to launch her first standalone store for her eponymous label, due to open in November on London's Dover Street.

Beckham spoke to a source about the location, saying: "It's young and cool. There are great galleries in the area. There's Dover Street Market directly opposite of us, which is not a bad thing."

The fashion icon  and designer has paired up with renowned Iranian architect Farshid Moussavi to renovate the store covering 7,000 sq ft across three floors, located at 36 Dover Street. The interior plans are set to be modern and conceptual.

She added: "We want to make something different without making it overly complicated. I just want it to feel real for me".

This next leap for Beckham will be another tick off her to-do list, as her fashion empire just keeps growing. Beckham Ventures Ltd, which manages Victoria's fashion range, increased its turnover to £15.4 million in 2012. Who's to say what her next move will be – perhaps more store locations in either the USA or the Middle East, both of which are key markets for the brand.
