Following on from a well-received Autumn/Winter 14 mainline collection, Victoria Beckham's second New York Fashion Week show hasn't quite gone as planned

It appears that the follow up Autumn/Winter 14 collection from the designer's contemporary line, Victoria by Victoria Beckham – a sister to the label's mainline – that was scheduled to be revealed earlier this week has been cancelled, and in fact will not be shown during Fashion Week at all.

Beckham and her team are still working on the creative around the range, which won't be ready for a couple of weeks.

Instead, she attended a talk at the Parsons The New School For Design's John L. Tishman Auditorium to share her wisdom with the 800+ students in attendance, alongside Dean of Fashion, Simon Collins (pictured above).

Addressing the audience, the star revealed that she is quite keen on adding shoes to her repertoire, and perhaps even menswear down the line.

"You know, I do want to start a shoe collection, if anybody here is a shoe designer, please do come and see me! I think shoes is probably the next category that I'll look at going into; it's quite a competitive category but I would love to do it. I actually work with Manolo Blahnik on the shoes for my show every season and working with him is remarkable. I think it's very complicated... I wouldn't just want to do a signature shoe – I'd have to make sure I'm working with the right factories, do a flat..."

Beckham added that she draws much inspiration from menswear collections and that her label – fast becoming a fashion empire – often has a "boy meets girl" appeal, indicating that following on from footwear, we could see her creations on the Men's Fashion Week circuit sometime soon, too.
