Tommy Hilfiger is taking the social coverage of his upcoming Autumn/Winter 14 show to a new level, introducing the label’s first ‘InstaMeet’

Dubbed a 'social media rendez-vous', a selection of influential New York Instagram users have been invited to participate in the first ever Tommy Hilfiger 'InstaMeet'.

After collaborating with two judges for the panel – Brian DiFeo and Anthony Danielle – Hilfiger participants are invited to join the proceedings the Park Avenue Armory on show day. "It's great way to share a diverse range of perspectives from our runway show with an even wider global audience," the designer explains. 

The chosen 20 were originally invited to register for the InstaMeet on Eventbrite – and the finalists were then selected by DiFeo and Danielle. "We wanted to stay true to how InstaMeets around the world are planned and hosted. It is a truly democratic process!" Hilfiger adds.

Before the show begins, the special Instagram group will get a complete tour of the set and full backstage access, and aren't necessarily then included on the front row.
