Former Vice President of Product Development at Tiffany & Co, Ingrid Lederhaas-Okun, has been sentenced to one year and one day in prison for theft and the resale of the famous jewels worth over $2 million - this Monday at a US Federal Court in Manhattan.

Federal agents arrested her earlier this year in July at her Connecticut home for the interstate transportation and transaction of stolen property. Okun pleaded guilty to the charges as well as admitting to stealing more than 165 pieces of jewellery valued over $2 million from the luxury brand. She was ordered to forfeit $2.1 million and to pay $2.2 million in restitution.
