First look: Chanel's 'The Return' teaser
Ahead of the Métiers d'Arts collection, 'Paris-Dallas'
In an exciting – and somewhat unexpected – move for Chanel, the premiere screening of The Return will take place in Dallas Fair Park, a historical exhibition venue with art deco architecture situated in the heart of the city in Texas, just before the 2013/14 Métiers d'Art runway show takes place there on December 10, titled 'Paris-Dallas'.
It follows the short film Once Upon a Time..., which debuted last May in Singapore and served as an exploration into Gabrielle Chanel's early days in Deauville in 1913 (played then by Keira Knightley). The Return retraces her footsteps to the reopening of her couture house in 1954 in Paris, and the importance of the role that the United States played in this come back, and features Geraldine Chaplin, daughter of Charlie Chaplin, in the role of Gabrielle Chanel.
Today, the house have shared a teaser clip to the film, in which Karl Lagerfeld interviews the actress behind his real leading lady - in anticipation of the main event next week:
The Return also stars Rupert Everett, Anna Mouglalis, Lady Amanda Harlech, Arielle Dombasle and Kati Nescher as well as Vincent Darré and Sam McKnight.
