First look: Thakoon Pre-Fall 2015

60's rejuvenation

For Pre-Fall, Thakoon Panichgul provided us some with bohemian visuals – consisting of unconventional knits and artisanal fabrics

Inspired by a black-and-white paparazzi shot of Mia Farrow in an old issue of Maurizio Cattelan's Permanent Food magazine, the American actress gave Thakoon the starting point for its latet designs. "If there is an overall message, it's a bohemian quality with a moodiness," Thakoon Panichgul explained about the Pre-Fall lineup, which was rich in textures, colours and handwork.

The jacquard looks were inspired by mosaic tiles, while oversize tweeds came with rows of horizontal yarn fringe. Thakoon kept the mood romantic and free-spirited, using a graphic floral pattern made up of red and black colours, as well as adding everyday ease with a selection of boyish knit pants and pajama-style trousers that were paired with trapeze sweaters.

Playful ccessories also played a large role for Pre-Fall 15, with light skinny scarves tied around necks, clogs with a black fur lining worn on feet, and burgundy envelope clutches grasped in hands.
