A look back: the spring/summer 2014 fashion week invitations
Stella McCartney, Chanel and Dries Van Noten
It's that time of year again when editors, fashion insiders, celebrities and socialites receive invitations from all the designers. Each season designers get more and more creative in how they decide to design such invites. Here are our favourites from Spring/Summer 2014, and we cannot wait to see if Fall/Winter 2014 lives up to S/S 14's beautifully thought out invites.
Chanel presented their look book on individual cards and a USB key. The invite itself was printed on mount board with show details printed on the back, made to look like the back of a painting canvas. Ahh don't you just love when art and fashion join forces?
Stella McCartney has always been known for attaching gifts to her invitations, and this season isn't any different. Affixed to the card was a green googly-eyed ring adding a little nostalgia to the beauty of the collection.
Dries Van Noten
Negative space was used to differentiate between DVN's S/S 2014 men's and women's collection invites. This beautifully thin acetate sheet made of alluring gold leaf was the womenswear mate to the equivalent menswear invitation.
