Five year old fashion-led British weekly magazine Stylist is set to launch in the Middle East this week, following on from its successful similar franchise agreement in France since 2013

Described as a ground-breaking "freemium" title (standing for free, high quality, premium – get it?), Stylist Arabia will introduce a new printed publishing concept to the region.

Arab Publishing Partners (APP), which is part of the ITP Group, announced a new licensing agreement with London-based Shortlist Media Ltd over the summer, and the first brand under license will be the famous UK fashion and lifestyle weekly. Tim Ewington, director of ShortList Media said in a statement: "Stylist has taken the UK by storm over the last five years. With our first overseas edition in France now firmly established we are thrilled to be launching into the dynamic and important Middle East market."

Stylist Arabia claims it will be the highest circulated women's weekly title in the market with a BPA audited 50,000 print run distributed across the UAE, including highly populated areas such as the Dubai Marina, Downtown, JLT, TECOM, DMC and the Abu Dhabi Corniche. The magazine will also be made available at five star hotels, airline business class lounges, spas, salons and universities. An online edition of the magazine will be available from Apple iTunes together with a "fresh new creative digital proposition that will create an immediate online community".

The launch of the title will be toasted this evening at a cocktail party held at the Oval Garden at the One & Only Royal Mirage in Dubai.
