Stella McCartney launches her Green Carpet collection in London
Along with launching Meatless Mondays last week – the British designer is once again reinforcing her commitment to sustainability as she partners with Livia Firth’s Eco-Age for the launch of the 2014 Stella McCartney Green Carpet collection.
The event marks the first time a single designer has created an entire capsule collection according to the Green Carpet Challenge (GCC) Brandmark – a warrantor of social, ethical and sustainable excellence.
Following the highest environmental standards using only materials that are either recycled or sustainably certified, the 13 exclusive evening looks exude elegant femininity and bold graphic design. “This collection is a huge step towards what I always have aimed to achieve, to push the boundaries and stereotypes of sustainable fashion by proving that it is possible to create and deliver beautiful, luxurious eveningwear causing little to no harm to the environment.” McCartney said.
