Paris Fashion Week: Yohji Yamamoto Spring/Summer 15

Bringing sexy back

The 70-year-old Japanese designer and namesake label shows a super feminine collection at Paris Fashion Week, thankfully leaving one or two things to the imagination of guests, who raved about the show

Award winning designer and Adidas collaborator Yohji Yamamoto showed his Spring/Summer 15 womenswear edit on Paris last night with one thing on his mind...

"This time I wanted to play with flower gardens, because sexuality and flowers' beauty for me are the same," said Yamamoto. "Flowers are not always beautiful; women are not always beautiful. It depends on the conditions."

The conditions here were with models walking to loud and proud tango music playing on loop and gold leather coats chicly draped off their shoulders, conjuring up thoughts Newton-esque dominatrix, however these girls swapped the spiked heels for flat soles. Because when being so overtly 'sexy' in theme, one must also remain restrained, says the designer: "Showing the body is very delicate. When you show it too much, it becomes nothing."
