First look: Céline, Sonia Rykiel, Donna Karan and more share SS15 campaign teasers
Starring Gigi Hadid, Georgia May Jagger and many more...
Peter Lindbergh paid his photography dues at Donna Karan, as the designer asked her longtime favorite photographer to shoot her brand's latest campaign. With a long history that dates back to 1992, the creative reunioun saw Lindbergh photographing model Andreea Diaconu against a backdrop covered by giant brushstrokes.
Over the pond in Paris, Céline tapped Marie-Agnès Gillot, a dancer and choreographer with the Paris Opera Ballet, 80-year-old American author Joan Didion and teenage model Freya Lawrence. Each of whom appear in the brand's retro-style Spring campaign – shot by Juergen Teller – which are slated to break in February issues of major fashion titles.
Another French fashion house, Sonia Rykiel, also snagged Teller to shoot Elizabeth and Georgia May Jagger. Marking artistic director Julie de Libran's first advertising campaign at Rykiel, she picked the daughters of Rolling Stone frontman Mick Jagger and model Jerry Hall to pose in different spots around Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the iconic home of the brand.
"We had the Jagger sisters for the show. I loved the energy that passed between them, and their individual beauty so equal, yet so unalike," de Libran said about her models. "Their mother walked for Sonia Rykiel, and they would come to the boutique. It's the story of a family and a family business. It was great to have Juergen shoot them in such spontaneous fashion in Saint-Germain-des-Prés," she added.
There is also Guess, where 19-year-old model Gigi Hadid returned to her denim roots –having modeled for the Los Angeles-based company when she was a toddler – as she appears in the Spring 2015 ad campaign.
