Sophia Webster wins the BFC Designer Fashion Fund

The British Fashion Council x Vogue Fashion Fund is now in its seventh consecutive year, which gives emerging British designers the opportunity to take their eponymous labels to the next level with a Dhs1,000,000 award and a twelve-month mentoring service from some of the best in the industry. Last night, London-based shoe and accessories designer Sophia Webster took home the prize.
Held at the glamourous Bulgari Hotel in London, Sophia Webster best known for her playful, colourful and fashion-forward approach to style beat a handful of already popular designers including Emilia Wickstead, Mother of Pearl, Osman and Prism. Caroline Rush CBE, Chief Executive of the British Fashion Council spoke about their award-winning choice: "Congratulations to Sophia Webster who has deservingly received this year's BFC x Vogue Designer Fashion Fund. The judging committee was impressed by her brilliant talent and thorough business acumen; seeing great potential for developing her label into an internationally acclaimed British brand.
