Sarah Jessica Parker covers Harper's Bazaar Arabia
Showing off her shoes
It's difficult to avoid comparisons between Carrie Bradshaw and Sarah Jessica Parker, most of all when discussing shoes, and considering the former was such a part of popular female culture for so many years during the 1990s. Prior to her Middle Eastern escapade earlier in Dubai this month, the star was been shot on location in New York for Harper's Bazaar Arabia's December issue, with the view to share her 25 piece collection designed with the help of George Malkemus, CEO of Manolo Blahnik, while doing so.
We learn that while the collection includes a T-bar sandal named after her famous character, that's where the Carrie connotations end and she is actually very different in reality - and keen to talk about her vision for the SJP Collection. "There's decades and decades and decades of incredible imagery that you probably have in your head that's meaningful to you. It just so happens that George and I shared the same period of interest I wanted to go back in time to the simple shoe, which is really hard to do well. That was really our point of inspiration." She explains.
