Saint Laurent opens store on Rodeo Drive in LA
An Art Deco mash up
With the women's store at 326 North Rodeo Drive representing the house's chic new retail concept, the men's store is in a slightly different location along the same street. However it all seems shrouded in secrecy.
Moving in a new direction from its perhaps (slightly more) elaborate and less minmal predecessor, Saint Laurent issued only four black-and-white photos this week for the store, and other than that – no images allowed.
The nearly 10,000-square-foot, three-story shop is the brand's largest women's unit in the world. It's an Art Deco mix of bright and light interior and exterior walls, grey-and-white white marble, polished brass fixtures and board-formed concrete floors, it boasts a huge metal staircase on the street level, as well as shiny shelves along the left-hand wall that stock accessories on five-levels.
The second-floor space features ready-to-wear and shoes, while the third floor is a private dressing salon.
