New York Fashion Week: Rosie Assoulin Spring/Summer 16
Making a splash
This year's 'CFDA Swarovski Award for Womenswear' winner, Rosie Assoulin updates a 90's classic with her Spring/Summer 16 collection, which was presented at the Tony Dapolito Recreation Center, to perfectly accentuate her new pool vibes for the season.
The wide leg pant was the stand out from what was a vibrant, colourful and pervasively cheerful lineup. Assoulin shows us how to make, the sometimes tricky, wide leg pant, a new hit. From the low-slung belted green option worn with a one shoulder top, to the ever-so Gwen Stefani 'Just a Girl' orange design with a contrast lace-up fastening. With Assoulin's fan-base flourishing from the early adopters of the stylistically ambitious to the wider fashion establishment, we are confident that we'll be seeing plenty of these pants come the new season.
Elsewhere we saw new iterations of her funhouse gowns in single-shoulder styles and voluminous skirts with some inventive drapery and folding adding embellishment and dimension. Dive into the full collection via our gallery below...
