New York Fashion Week: Rosie Assoulin Autumn/Winter 15

Never one to confine her imagination to a single theme, Rosie Assoulin, prefers to approach each piece as a story of its own. Drawing influences from sources as diverse as her four-year-old's viewing habits and Italian architecture, Assoulin collection is a veritable feast of intrigue, colour and structure.
Concerned chiefly with the element of fun, Assoulin's mother-in-law provided the homemade accessories of floral earrings, for the showing, and as a model strode across the runway in a vibrant two piece full length evening creation she could help but ask rhetorically: "I mean, come on, is she having fun or what?"
With a spectrum of colour that is sure to have something for everyone, from prime blues and reds, to graphic greys and monochromes, the collection caters for the paired down casual day look, without loosing the signature edge Assoulin has on her inventive eveningwear.
Raw edge front zip simple black jumpsuits were paired with sneakers, and peg leg khaki pants were combined with relaxed peplum tops for day, while the eveningwear darted from voluminous gowns to a sleek and feminine bow-embellished dress. Assoulin uses the two piece format to startling effect and it would not be unwise to predict that these designs are likely to adorn many a red carpet in the near future.
