Bulgari to partner with Dolce Vita era couture and culture exhibit in Rome
'Bellissima. L'Italia dell'alta moda 1945-1968'
Curated by Maria Luisa Frisa, Anna Mattirolo and Stefano Tonchi a new exhibition celebrating Italy's Haute Couture and creativity in the Dolce Vita era is set to impress.
Jean-Christophe Babin, chief executive officer of Bulgari said the event is "not to be missed because the years from 1945 to 1968 represent a key period for the affirmation of the brand at a global level, and for the definition of its unmistakable style."
The exhibit in general reflects the peak moment in Italy's cultural development – across cinema, art, architecture, theatre and photography, with appropriate gowns by the likes of Valentino, Fendi, Roberto Capucci, the Fontana sisters, Irene Galitzine, Mila Schön, Emilio Schuberth and Simonetta also on show. Also expect accessories by Salvatore Ferragamo, Gucci and Roberta di Camerino, and various Alta Moda items throughout the decades.
A gala dinner will be held to inaugurate the exhibit on November 29, and Bellissima. L'Italia dell'alta moda 1945-1968 then runs at the Maxxi Museum in Rome from December 2 to May 3, 2015
