First look: Rochas Cruise 2016
Alessandro Dell’Acqua presented his Rochas Cruise 2016 lineup in New York, exhibiting his classical dance inspired collection. Famed prima ballerina, Margot Fonteyn, served as his point of inspiration, capturing the delicate femininity and and movement of the graceful dancer.
Inspirations of tulle tutus were perhaps the most obvious and direct interpretation, with gold and pink tones and actual ballerina motifs printed on soft flowing fabrics also a give-away. But elsewhere, beautiful laces, often in white, and silk knits added to the floating femininity. Shapes played with voluminous skirts and loose babydoll dresses and frills and ruffles added dimension and texture.
