Milan Fashion Week: Roberto Cavalli Autumn/Winter 15

Candidly Cavalli

With rumours circulating that the sale of a majority stake is looming, this season could be the last for Roberto Cavalli and Eva Duringer as Peter Dundas is appointed to take the wheel

Under the glow from a number of halogen tubed art deco style chandeliers Roberto Cavalli's new ready-to-wear collection for the AW15 season was revealed to a sea of dimly lit fashion enthusiasts. In true Cavalli style each garment was intricately garnished with sequins, lace or delicate embroidery, and there was no doubt that an impressive amount of work had gone into this season's line-up.  An array of the staple animal print and flowers flavoured almost every garment including flowing plissé gowns, short lace dresses and military style gold buttoned dresses.

Highlights of the collection included the inclusion of furs and fringing that accentuated the occasional jacket and floor length waistcoat. Adding movement and hypnotic motion to the display it was a refreshing take on this seasons most prominent trend.
