Rami Al Ali launches his first prêt-a-porter collection

The Syrian-born designer starts a new path

During Paris Fashion Week, Rami Al Ali debuted his first collection of prêt-a-porter looks, representing a new phase for the Rami Al Ali woman

Last week, Rami Al Ali gathered an intimate audience of fashion industry professionals in Paris at Jean Demavinssy Fashion Showroom – showing another side of him and his design aesthetic.

Drawing inspiration from the orchid, the 26 piece Spring/Summer 15 collection featured beautiful fabrics and feminine silhouettes. Al Ali played with chiffons, crepes and silks, decorating them in stunning embroidery, prints and beadwork – details that have become the designer's trademark.

Borrowing elements from the orchid, dresses featured billowing sleeves, body hugging shapes and voluminous organza all a nod to the delicate sculptural beauty of the opulent flower. Tailored pieces from trousers and coats also made an appearance, giving the collection a chic, modern edge.
