First look: Proenza Schouler Pre-Fall 2015
"These pre-collections link one collection to the next, and they bring back the ideas that were successful," designer Lazaro Hernandez stated, as him and Jack McCollough dug into the Proenza Schouler archives.
Spring's deconstructed argyle sweaters and fringes turned into a new wave of masculine plaid tops and easy-to-wear knits – keeping the colour palette throughout the collection grey, white and black, staying classic, sophisticated and cool. Keeping true to the label's signature look of modern tailoring, the designers paired slouchy knit trousers with plaid T-shirts worn over more plaid in the form of linear jackets and lean long-sleeve blouses, in addition to some slick outerwear pieces.
And as for the accessories, looks were worn with fringed boots and woven black-and-white mules, along with the debut of the 'Kent', a new boxy handbag that features a soft top-handle.
