The new major retrospective on the Dominican American designer's life, explores Oscar de la Renta's iconic career, from its origins to his most recent masterpieces.
Held at the George W. Bush Presidential Centre until October 5, Oscar de la Renta: Five Decades of Style is organised into seven different themes from de la Renta's designing career.
One of the most significant sections of the retrospective is the Iconic Style for First Ladies, which examines the daywear and evening dresses worn by Laura Bush, Hillary Clinton, and Nancy Reagan, which are also on display.
Other sections include Expressive Spanish Influence, The Craftsmanship of Couture, Cultural Aesthetic from around the Globe, The Glamour of the Red Carpet, Inspired by the Garden and A Decorated Career.
