Pitti Uomo to strengthen its fashion ties to Milan
The Italian menswear fair outlines its new schedule
On Monday at the biannual press conference to present the agenda of the upcoming Pitti Uomo – scheduled for January 13 to 16 – the Florentine trade show organiser said it will endorse "La Via dell'Uomo" ("Men's Street", in English) – as it aims to lengthen its roots into the historic city of Milan.
The new scheme is set to promote the 890-foot long street Via Gesù, that connects to Via Montenapoleone and Via Spiga, as the ultimate hub for men's fashion.
Over the last few years, the famous street has seen the arrival of a variety of luxury men's brands such as Luciano Barbera, Brioni, Caruso, Kiton, Stefano Ricci, Zilli, Mariano Rubinacci, Silvano Lattanzi and Acqua di Parma. The first event celebrating the 'La Via dell'Uomo' will take place on January 17, and will coincide with the first day of Milan Men's Fashion Week.
In addition, as part of the growing bond between Florence and Milan, Pitti Uomo's Pitti Immagine will also support the 'Revelations-Finance for Fine Arts' program backed by Milan's Pinacoteca di Brera and the Italian Bourse.
