Phoebe Philo honoured by Queen Elizabeth II for her services in the fashion industry
Alongside Pat McGrath and Natalie Gibson
Céline's creative director Phoebe Philo was honoured with an OBE for her services in the fashion industry by Queen Elizabeth II in the New Years honours list. The fashion designer was born in Paris to British parents but studied in London at the prestigious Central Saint Martins college and her work history includes stints with Stella McCartney, who was the then director of Chloe. Phoebe took over the role of director at Chloe for 5 years from 2001 before moving to Céline.
Philo was just 1 of 3 people honoured in the list from the fashion industry. Legendary make up artist Pat McGrath and textile designer Natalie Gibson were also honoured with the sought-after OBE.
