Paris Fashion Week: Olympia Le-Tan Spring/Summer 15

Back to school

Olympia Le-Tan channeled her inner school girl yesterday as she unveiled a collection that had nostalgic notions of high school in every look

With 'We don't need no education' spelled out on a chalkboard at the back of Olympia Le-Tan's runway, it was clear that we were going back to school for Spring/Summer 15. Held at the Parisian high school, Lycée Carnot, models with cheeky grins took to the stage in pumped up girly uniforms. From sequined skirt with pencils and erasers embellished on it to book-covered clutches that were inspired by the designer's father's book designs.

For Spring/Summer 15 Le-Tan even created a new embroidered monogram, which appeared on belt buckles, caps, shirtdresses and coats. Modernising the classic schoolgirl look of pleated skirts and knee socks, a tweed jacket, and miniskirt woven with neon thread also appeared on the runway, making a playful statement that would be sure to get the headmaster's attention.
