Paris Fashion Week: Chloé Spring/Summer 15
Clare Waight Keller's free spirits
Know one could have known that Aghion – who founded Chloé's in 1952 – would have passed away a day before the SS15 show, however we couldn't help but think how pleased she would have been with the latest linup.
With an abundance of pretty lace, denim, and utilitarian cotton, the show opened with a trio of floaty minidresses, made from lace and linen, which hung gently from the models' shoulders from skinny spaghetti straps. Keeping it soft and feminine, Keller then pushed that billowing silhouette into chiffon goddess gowns done in pastel blue and green, navy and terra-cotta, and lace.
Not forgetting the more workwear-inspired, tailored looks, Keller sent out a denim sweat suit and a blue suede short and collar shirt duo with utitlity pockets on the hips. Using her Parisian goddess inspiration, the designer made models wear heeled gladiator-style shoes while some walked with flat string sandals.
