Paris Fashion Week: Giambattista Valli Autumn/Winter 14
A garden of printed elegance
Giambattista Valli's catwalk was full of floral prints, monochrome patterns and mini dresses for every occasion - the perfect combination of ready to wear comfort and couture elegance walked the runway.
The show began with simple A-line silhouettes dominated by black and white graphic patterns juxtaposed with colourful and vibrant rose prints that featured handpainted 3-D art.
Valli incorporated rich brocade, lace, silk, fur and a new metallic material giving the ultra-feminine collection a futuristic edge. Each look was paired with a classic black ankle boot and a fluorescent cross-body handbag appeared at times, bringing a playful and young edge to the entire collection.
