First look: Osman Pre-Fall 2015
Welcome to the tribe...
For Pre-Fall, Osman Yousefzada borrowed inspiration from the spirit of 17th-century North America, in turn creating a whimsical yet sophisticated collection of endlessly chic possibilities...
With a variety of beautiful silhouettes, from hand-drawn patterns of Pocahontas on tailored shirts and cape details to raffia fringing on silk tank tops and lots of draping, Osman's Pre-Fall 15 offerings echoed the uniform of a modern-day warrior princess.
A repeating Pocahontas face print was seen across boxy top-and-trouser pairings and on belted dresses, while a cut-out shapes appeared on shoulders and backs, showing a bit of skin against the black or white fabrics used. A bold abstract arrow motif also popped up on a black-and-white cashmere coat and inspired the shape of a black liquid evening gown with an pointed metallic leather panel at the front.
