After almost four years as the head of creative, Theyskens announces his departure from Theory

Speaking of the departure, Andrew Rosen – CEO of Theory said: "I am grateful for Olivier's extraordinary contribution to Theory over the past three-and-a-half years, and I am particularly excited to see what he does next," adding: "Everything has a life cycle. Olivier has done great work at Theory, and I believe his appointment at the company and his creativity within the studio enhanced the brand and added a new dimension and new possibilities to the market segment." 

Before being appointed by Theory to create an additional collection for the label titled Theyskens' Theory, Olivier work as artistic director at Nina Ricci. His role at Theory was further expanded in 2011 when he was appointed creative director of its mainline and in November last year, it was announced his eponymous line had been discontinued. 

"It has been an amazing opportunity to work with Andrew and to benefit from his knowledge in this dynamic segment of fashion," Theyskens said, speaking of his departure, "I will always cherish our friendship."

Olivier's last collection for Theory will be Cruise 2014/15, after which the in-house design team will take over. It is not known exactly what Olivier will embark on next, but he is said to be working on other design projects.
