Paris Fashion Week: Nina Ricci Autumn/Winter 14
Since its creation, Nina Ricci has become known for its romanticism and femininity, elements that it still maintains to this day. During its show yesterday, English designer Peter Copping portrayed his passion for vintage and romantic style with an edit inspired by a muse in the comfort of her own surroundings.
The show was structured in a way that took the woman from daytime to evening effortlessly. Skirtsuits and pyjama pants defined the work look, while silk dresses and leather offerings are ideal for lounging around the house. Many pieces seemed to take inspiration directly from home interiors such as double-face coats that were wrapped like blankets, and a nightshirt evening dress designed with lace flowers that offered a boudoir vibe.
Copping reflected the label's love for botanical with evening wear featuring tulip and lace embellished gowns, as well as floral print silk dresses and separates, that were all whimsical and wonderful in true Nina Ricci style.
