Nike Women to reveal a 'Technical Couture' collection today in New York
A 'gravity defying' display attended by Buro 24/7
Buro 24/7 Middle East Editor-in-Chief Holly Williams is in New York City today to discover the latest step into fashion by Nike, the current leading sports apparel label on the planet.
The brand is revealing the fruits of calling upon 'technical couture' fashion designer Pedro Lourenço to its creative department, to work on the athletic powerhouse's first women's 'performance collaboration' project – being presented, in essence, as the label's first functional fashion collection.
Lourenço's futuristic vision of form and fit has been apparent in Paris for some time, and now he has devised an eight-piece collection in a "celebration of sensuality" – that creates a gleaming second skin. Keep an eye out for Buro 24/7 Middle East's full report, as it happens – and watch live via our Instagram handle @Buro247ME.
