New York Fashion Week: Zac Posen Autumn/Winter 14
Old world glamour
Zac Posen is renowned for his glamorous creations that are often selected for red carpet events, so for his Autumn/Winter 14 collection, it was no surprise to see an opulent offering of architecturally structured pieces.
"This was all about elegance," Posen revealed in a post-show interview. "It was about line and form. I had to be disciplined. It was a tight edit."
The designer opened his show with more practical styles, before his signature evening silhouettes were presented. Overall, a dark colour palette was favoured with maroon and forest hues and models beautified with crimson lips.
Posen enhanced his pieces with embroidered and beaded elements on coats, jackets and the torsos of dresses, in a collection that exuded old world glamour, designed with a sophisticated woman in mind.
